Hobbies and Interests
Visual Arts
In the field of art, I worked on projects in Kalamkari, Batik, Needlecraft, Pottery, Oil, Watercolour, Acrylic, Charcoal, and texture painting. I've also exhibited my artwork with artist Pragati Dalvi at Chitrakala Parishad, gallery 7. One of my best works circles of life explores closed-loop dimensions in ‘string theory’ through a young girl’s body adorned with strings at her points of confluence.
Football
As the only girl on my team, I've always stood out on the football field. When I first kicked a ball, I knew this sport was my passion. The rush of sprinting down the field, the satisfaction of a perfect pass, and the thrill of scoring a goal - it all captivates me.
Sure, I get a few surprised looks when I take my place among my male teammates, but once the whistle blows, I'm just another player giving my all for the team.
Theatre
The stage has always been my second home. There's something magical about stepping into someone else's shoes and embodying their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I've dreamed of being a professional actor for as long as I can remember, imagining my name in lights and bringing characters to life on screen and stage. As part of the Theatre club I've realised acting isn't just a hobby - it's a calling, a way to connect with others and leave a lasting impact through the power of storytelling.
Music
Music is my soul's language. It all began with bathroom concerts, my voice echoing off tiles. Now, I pour emotion into every note, finding joy in expressing feelings through song. My passion led me to Carnatic music, which I've studied for two years, deepening my connection to melody and rhythm.
Aerial Yoga
Aerial yoga captivates me with its graceful, gravity-defying movements. I love how the hammock supports and challenges me, allowing me to explore new poses and push my limits. Each session is a blend of strength and serenity, as I focus on maintaining calm while suspended in air, finding freedom in every fluid motion.
Long Distance Running
Grappling with asthma and pneumonia in my early years, I challenged myself with running. Every breath was a reminder of my fragility and of my perseverance. In fourth grade, I couldn’t run without gasping for air; now, I’m a long-distance runner. Long-distance running is my moving meditation. I love the steady rhythm of my feet hitting the pavement and the way my breath syncs with each stride. It's a constant challenge to push my limits, testing my endurance and willpower.
Athletics
Athletics fuels my competitive spirit and challenges me to constantly improve. Whether sprinting on the track, leaping in the high jump, or long jump, I thrive on pushing my physical limits. The mix of individual effort and team camaraderie energizes me, making each practice and competition an exhilarating journey of self-discovery and achievement.
Bird-Watching
I find joy in observing the intricate behaviors and vibrant colors of various bird species. Each outing is an opportunity to immerse myself in the beauty of the outdoors, where every sighting brings a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. Through this passion I cultivate a deeper understanding of wildlife and the importance of preserving our environment.
